Graduate Hedge Fund Accountant

Purpose of role:

Prescient Fund Services is growing its Alternative Administration team in response to strong demand within the Hedge Fund market. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to join a high-performing team of Fund Accountants and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

As a Graduate Hedge Fund Accountant, you will be trained and supported to deliver high-quality accounting and administration services across a range of alternative investment products, including hedge funds and private equity structures. You will gain exposure to the full fund accounting lifecycle while working closely with experienced professionals.Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with daily reconciliations which support the final NAV process, including trade, cash, and position reconciliations.
• Support the calculation of Net Asset Values (NAVs) across allocated fund structures.
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements, including Fund Manager and Investor reporting.
• Work as part of a team to provide end-to-end fund accounting and administration services.
• Capture and process fund transactions accurately and timeously.
• Support the servicing of funds and investment managers, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist with system and process changes as required.

Required experience:

• Exposure to Hedge Funds (academic, internship, or limited work experience).
• Strong computer skills, specifically Excel, are essential.
• Prior experience working on an Investment Accounting platform would be advantageous.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant postgraduate financial qualification (BCom Accounting / Commerce / Finance).
