Komatsu Mining Corporation is offering exciting apprenticeship opportunities for 2025 at its Wadeville, Germiston facility.
Available Apprenticeship Positions:
- Apprentice Armature Winder (2 positions)
- Apprentice Millwright (3 positions)
- Apprentice Welder (2 positions)
- Apprentice Boilermaker
- Apprentice Electrician (3 positions)
- Apprentice Fitter (4 positions)
- Apprentice Turner (2 positions)
Programme Overview:
The Komatsu apprenticeship is a comprehensive training programme combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Over a period of 4 years and 6 months, apprentices will:
- Receive both classroom and on-the-job training.
- Rotate between various departments, including Used Equipment, New Equipment, Field Service, and the Reman Division.
- Attend Phase 1 and 2 training at an external service provider.
- Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of equipment under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Upon successful completion, apprentices will achieve artisan status, opening doors to various career opportunities within the mining and construction industries.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
- N3 Certificate: With four subjects, including the relevant trade theory, and a minimum D / Level 4 symbol in Mathematics and Physical Science.
- NC(V) Level 4: With a minimum D / Level 4 symbol in Mathematics and another subject related to Engineering and Related Design or Electrical Infrastructure Construction.
- S1 Qualification: With Mathematics and Physical Science, each with a minimum D / Level 4 symbol.
