About the Opportunity

Mediclinic Kloof is looking for a Porter to transport and escort patients, equipment, files and related items between different departments of the hospital to support hospital operations in delivering the highest standards of care.

Requirements

• Grade 10
• Client services / dealing with the public experience
• Valid driver’s licence with PDP
• English proficiency (read, speak and write)
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Healthcare experience (e.g. care work) advantageous
• Knowledge of patient rights charter, Health and Safety Act, emergency evacuation plans and kinetic handling principles

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and escort patients safely to a pre-determined location
• Assist with evacuations during emergency situations
• Execute Driver function (as per hospital request and within hospital guidelines)
• Ensure integrity and confidentiality of patient rights and Mediclinic values
