Pepkor IT is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join their Service Desk Operator team as an intern. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in IT support and is ideal for those with a strong interest in technology and problem-solving.
Role Overview:
As a Service Desk Operator Intern, you will assist staff and provide basic software and hardware support to remote stores, ensuring high standards of customer service. Your role will also include managing data integrity at the stores and maintaining the usability of systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level telephonic support for software and hardware issues via phone, email, or in-person.
- Log all issues on the call tracking system and escalate complex technical problems.
- Maintain professional and friendly communication with end-users.
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and escalate unresolved issues to Tier II support.
- Continuously improve your knowledge of IT support products and solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric certificate.
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 1 year of experience in software troubleshooting (advantageous).
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Retail environment experience (advantageous).

- Strong communication skills, able to interact at all levels.
- A team player with excellent customer service skills.
