The Public Protector is an independent institution established in terms of section 181 of the Constitution, with a mandate to support and strengthen constitutional democracy. It investigates complaints of maladministration, abuse of power, and improper conduct in state affairs, and takes appropriate remedial action to promote accountability and fairness in government.
Internship Overview
Public Protector South Africa is offering internship opportunities to unemployed graduates to gain meaningful work experience within a key constitutional institution. Selected interns are placed in various Departments / Business Units where they can develop practical skills, understand public administration, and contribute to supporting accountability and good governance.
A monthly stipend is provided for the duration of the internship contract, helping interns cover living expenses while they build their professional capabilities and enhance their prospects for future employment. The rogramme will for a period of 24 months (2 years).
