What You’ll Learn
As a SANSA in-service trainee, you’ll be exposed to real-world space operations and advanced engineering systems. Learning areas include:
- Operating and maintaining antenna systems, RF systems, and satellite ground station equipment
- Supporting TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking & Command) and launch operations
- Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance
- Assisting with project-based tasks and engineering support
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must have:
- S4 or S5 in Electrical Engineering, specialising in Electronics or Telecommunications
- A WIL/in-service training letter from their institution
- Knowledge of microwave and telecommunications principles
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Must be 35 years old or younger
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transport (no public transport access to the site)
