About the Opportunity
The Trainee: Sales Clerk role is designed to help you build practical experience in spare parts sales, customer engagement, and stock control in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Efficient Customer Service
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Address queries and complaints professionally
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability
2. Sales Activities
- Process orders accurately
- Identify, order, and promote spare parts
- Provide counter sales and after-sales service
- Support sales promotions and exhibits
- Report lost sales to management
3. Stock Control Support
- Assist with stock packing, picking, and merchandising
- Keep sales areas neat and organized
- Help balance stock levels through ongoing inventory checks
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / National Senior Certificate
- Experience in agriculture parts sales is advantageous
Skills and Knowledge Needed
- Technical understanding of spare parts and agricultural machinery
- Familiarity with stock control processes and parts catalogues
- Good communication and sales ability
- Computer literacy and basic financial acumen
- Problem-solving skills and sound judgment
