Bursary application closing date is 20 January 2025.
The Siyanda Resources Bursary is aimed at South African students studying full-time towards an undergraduate qualification in one of the following fields:
- Commerce
- Geology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Rock Engineering (Geophysics or Geoscience)
Bursary Coverage:
The bursary will cover the following expenses:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks and learning materials
- Accommodation
- Equipment as prescribed by the institution
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the bursary:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric
- Full-time undergraduate study in one of the listed fields
- Accepted or registered at an accredited South African university
- Entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or final year of study
- Strong academic record
- Minimum overall average of 60% (Matric or tertiary results)
- Financial need
- Preference for candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds
