About the Bursary
The South African Veterinary Foundation (SAVF), in partnership with Lakato Veterinary Wholesalers, the Pet Memorial Fund, and a private donor, offers four bursaries for 2025—two for 4th-year and two for 5th-year BVSc students. These bursaries are awarded with no contractual obligations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be currently studying BVSc (Veterinary Science) at the University of Pretoria
- Must be in 4th or 5th year of study in 2025
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have a minimum academic average of 60%
- Must be actively involved in student life (e.g., sport, cultural or other activities)
Application Requirements:
- Complete 10 multiple-choice questions about the SAVF (based on the SAVF website content)
- Upload the following documents in PDF format:
- Proof of current student debt
- Academic record from the previous year
- Brief CV
- Submit personal information including:
- Name and student number
- Year of study (4 or 5)
- Contact number and email address
