Internship Overview

The incumbent will be expected to learn and develop a sound understanding of the Human Resources value chain from employee entry to exit. S/he will develop Human Resources generalist competencies and progressively provide support to HR Site Administration in the administration of employment conditions and staff benefits.

The incumbent will be exposed to Human Resources consulting within the College/Division and the application of best practice in recruitment and selection, training and development, remuneration, change management, transformation and employment equity, organisational development, talent and performance management, employee relations, disciplinary processes, employee wellness, and general Human Resources administration.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
• Three (3) year relevant degree: i.e. Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
• (Honours Degree: i.e. Human Resources or Industrial Psychology for CAES and Professional Services: HR)
• Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources Theories and best practices
