Internship Overview
As a Brand Communications Graduate, you will learn the exciting and dynamic world of Brand Communications for global brands in the SA market. With exposure into strategy design, consumer insights, creative campaign applications, channel management, activation execution and KPI measurement and reporting, this is your opportunity for a hands-on real-world learning experience.
Key Accountabilities:
Social Media Management
- Learn to develop, implement, and manage various social media channels.
- Content Creation: Assist in developing engaging brand narratives and content for various communication channels, including social media, blogs, press releases, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with the creative teams and agencies to ensure content is aligned with the brand’s voice and guidelines.
- Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, digital media advancements, and emerging communication platforms to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the team.
Partnership and Collaborations
- Support in identifying and researching potential strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Assist in coordinating partnerships, collaborations, and related activations.
- Get on the ground experience for activations and events
Cross -Functional Collaborations
- Collaborate with various internal teams, such as marketing, creative agencies, and product, to ensure alignment and integration of brand communication initiatives with broader brand strategies.
- Gain a good understanding of supplier management and internal working processes within an organization
Public Relations Support
- Dive into the world of PR by assist to build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry partners.
- Support in the coordination of media inquiries, sample requests, and press releases distribution.
- Learn about the reporting metrics and measurement tools
Reporting and Analysis
- Assist in gathering and analysing data to evaluate the effectiveness of brand communication initiatives and activations.
- Support in preparing reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Ad-Hoc Duties
- Respond to emails and office correspondence.
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Support the mission, vision and core values of the company.
- Meet prescribed deadlines and targets.
- Professional interaction and liaison with customers, suppliers and employees always.
- Any other reasonable and lawful ad hoc tasks or duties that may be required from time to time.

- Project management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple brand communication projects simultaneously.
- Digital marketing: Using digital marketing tools (e.g., social media platforms, analytics tools, content management systems).
- Campaign analysis Tracking, measuring and reporting on the performance of brand communication campaigns.
- Brand consistency: Ensuring all communication materials align with the brand’s voice, guidelines, and values.
- Crisis communication: Skills in managing and responding to brand-related crises or negative publicity.
- Market research: Conducting research to understand target audiences, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Visual communication: Basic knowledge of design principles to collaborate with creative teams for visual content
