Aurora Wind Power, in partnership with StudyTrust, invites Grade 12 learners who are South African citizens from designated schools on the West Coast of South Africa to apply for the Aurora Wind Power Bursary Programme 2025.
Bursary Application Closing Date: 31 October 2025
Application Season: 01 May – 31 October
Eligible Institutions: Public South African universities and TVET colleges (No funding for private institutions)
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be in Grade 12 or have completed Grade 12 with good academic results
- Intend to pursue a 3- or 4-year degree or diploma at a public tertiary institution
- Demonstrate academic excellence (based on prelim or final Grade 12 results)
- Show financial need – household income must not exceed R350,000 per year
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary may cover the following study-related expenses:
- Tuition, registration, and examination fees
- Accommodation in a university or college residence (or equivalent)
- Meals
- Learning materials – including textbooks and stationery
Selection Criteria
- Academic performance based on latest school results or highest grade passed
- Financial need, proven by supporting documentation
- Preference may be given to applicants studying toward NQF level 6 technical, skills training programmes, national diplomas, or degree programmes
