About the DMPR Internship Programme
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) is offering a graduate internship programme for the 2026/2027 – 2027/2028 financial years.
This programme provides graduates with valuable workplace experience in various fields related to mining, petroleum, finance, law, and public administration.
Note: Successful applicants will be responsible for their own accommodation and transport during the internship period.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have a National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
- Be a South African citizen
- Be unemployed and have not participated in any previous government internship programme
- Be willing to relocate (if required) at own cost
- Have strong academic records and relevant qualifications
Important Notes
- Students requiring experiential training must attach a letter from their institution
- Persons with disabilities and TVET graduates are encouraged to apply
- Incomplete applications will not be considered
- Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified documents
