About the DMPR Internship Programme

The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) is offering a graduate internship programme for the 2026/2027 – 2027/2028 financial years.

This programme provides graduates with valuable workplace experience in various fields related to mining, petroleum, finance, law, and public administration.

Note: Successful applicants will be responsible for their own accommodation and transport during the internship period.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

Have a National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field
Be a South African citizen
Be unemployed and have not participated in any previous government internship programme
Be willing to relocate (if required) at own cost
Have strong academic records and relevant qualifications

Students requiring experiential training must attach a letter from their institution
Persons with disabilities and TVET graduates are encouraged to apply
Incomplete applications will not be considered
Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified documents
