About the Automated Packaging Learnership
This programme trains learners to operate automated packaging equipment safely and effectively. You will gain hands-on exposure to line operations, quality assurance, teamwork, mechanical processes, and workplace safety standards.
Job Purpose
The learnership equips you to:
- Operate automated packaging systems
- Maintain health, safety, and quality standards
- Build business understanding
- Develop mechanical maintenance and communication skills
- Coordinate and support production line activities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general line operations and cleaning activities
- Conduct pre-start-up checks for equipment and area readiness
- Monitor product and packaging quality
- Report and correct process abnormalities quickly
- Clean and maintain machinery according to specifications
- Prepare raw materials for production use
- Ensure personal and team safety at all times
- Promote eco-efficient and sustainable work practices
- Complete all learnership assessments, assignments, and logbooks
Required Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must have:
- Matric (National Senior Certificate) with Mathematics and Science, OR
- N2 / N3 / N4 Engineering qualification
