The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in partnership with the ETDP SETA, is offering a 24-month Graduate Internship Programme designed to provide valuable workplace experience in the field of Student Academic Administration. The internship is targeted at unemployed graduates and aims to support skills development and enhance employability.
Internship Overview:
- Position: Administration Intern (24 Months)

- Monthly Stipend: R6500.00
- Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
- Employment Equity: Preference may be given to designated groups as per UKZN’s Employment Equity Plan
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with customer service and general administrative functions
- Handle student records administration
- Provide support with ad hoc administrative duties
Minimum Requirements:
- A Degree in Public Administration or related field (NQF Level 7)
- Must be an unemployed graduate, aged 18–35 years
- Must be available for the full 24-month duration
- No prior full-time work experience related to the field of study
Competencies and Skills:
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Eagerness to learn and show initiative
